One Direction Responds To Taylor Swift VMAs Diss: “Get Over It”

One Direction is responding to Taylor Swift after the singer appeared to diss Harry Styles in her acceptance speech for Best Female Video at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday.

Picking up the award for “I Knew You Were Trouble,” the pop star told the audience, “I also want to thank the person who inspired this song, who knows exactly who he is, because now I got one of these.”

At the New York premiere of the group’s documentary This Is Us on Monday night, Liam Payne joked to New York magazine, “When she said those things about Niall [Horan], we were very, very pissed off.”

“Hashtag get over it,” added the singer.

Payne also talked to Us Weekly about Swift’s speech, saying, “I just thought it was a bit not needed. I mean, you just won an award, it’s like, concentrate on yourself!”

Asked by a reporter if he thought Swift’s behavior was “lame,” Payne replied, “Yeah.”

Swift, who split from Harry Styles last January, was photographed with the singer at a VMAs after-party.

What do you think of One Direction’s response to Swift?
