Tragedy hit the family of Vice President Namadi Sambo on Sunday as his immediate younger brother, Capt. Yusuf Sabo Sambo died at the age of 58. Capt Sabo Sambo, died on Sunday April 27, 2014, at Bill Clinton drive in an accident on Abuja Airport Road.
Until his death Sambo was a qualified pilot who worked with former Nigerian Airways and the Presidential Air Fleet before retiring to be on his own. President Goodluck Jonathan was at Aguda House, residence of the Vice President in the Presidential Villa, Abuja, to personally condole him over the sad incident.
He has been buried at the Apo cemetery, Abuja, according to Islamic rites, in the presence of former military President Gen. Ibrahim Babangida, former Head of State, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar and other dignitaries and sympathizers.
The late Sambo was born in 1956. He is survived by his wife, three daughters and 10 brothers and sisters.
