Surrogate mother reportedly delivers twins for Nike Oshinowo

Nike Oshinowo has reportedly welcomed a set of twins through a surrogate mother.

Lifestyle and fashion blog Bella Naija reports that the 47-year-old, one-time beauty queen welcomed the twins in the US last weekend.

Just to make sure you understand what we’re talking about, a ‘Surrogate mother’ is a person ‘providing or receiving nurture or parental care though not related by blood or legal ties’. The twins are technically (and most important biologically!) Nike’s.

It is believed Nike did not want to risk getting pregnant and delivering children as she has been battling infertility and Endometriosis issues for a long time. It is unclear what nationality the surrogate mother is. The identity of the twins’ father remains unclear.

Months earlier, several tabloids reported that Nike and husband Tunde Soleye had ended their marriage although the couple never released a statement confirming this.

NET reached out to Nike and Tunde Soleye through phone calls, they are yet to respond as at the time of this report.

A reporter also visited Tunde Soleye’s Ikeja-based hospital ‘Duro Soleye Hospital’ but nurses told us they were unaware of Oshinowo’s delivery.
