Bryan Cranston To Cast as ‘Superman’ Villain Lex Luthor

Fans have another thing to keep them glued to the Superman series. Cosmic Book News was the first to break the news, saying that Bryan Cranston has signed on to play Superman’s hairless foe Lex Luthor. Cranston will reportedly be going from battling rival drug dealers as Walter White on Breaking Bad, to battling Superman in the upcoming Man of Steel sequel. The deal reportedly includes at least six film appearances as Luthor, so will appear several times within the inter-connected universe of DC Comics.
According to Cosmic Book News, we’re going to have to wait a couple weeks for confirmation, as we are told to: “Look for the official announcement to follow the conclusion to the final season of Breaking Bad as WB wants to dovetail off the end of that. … DC is going to have all of their main characters liberally appearing or at least mentioned in all of their movies to portray a more connected world than what Marvel Studios has done so far”. You’ll remember, this Man of Steel sequel is the same movie that will be starring Ben Affleck as Batman. Henry Cavill will also be returning as Superman. Affleck, too, is said to have a multi-film deal, perhaps up to 13 movies.
