“Prisoners” Storm The Box Office With An Earning Of $21.4 Million In Its First Week
A movie produced and financed with a low budget of $46 million, the Alcon Entertainment shot “Prisoners” just landed on the top spot at the American Box Office earning the sum of $21.4 million on its debut. The movie which featured the man with the iron fist in Wolverine, Hugh Jackman is all about the search for two
girls which were kidnapped on Thanksgiving day. This will be the second Box office hit for Alcon founders Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove as one of their films titled “The Blind Side” first hit the top spot four years ago with a gross total of $34.1 million on its debut. Jackman’s presence was paramount as the actor has been on a roll of box office hits ever since 2008 with movies like “The Wolverine”, “Real Steal”, “X-Men Origin” and the most recent “Les Miserables”.” “Prisoners” also starred Jake Gyllenhaal who was the lead in last year’s “Source Code.” Don’t miss this movie.
