Danube Crescent: Abuja Street That Housed President Jonathan, 24 Governors & Politicians

Pictured above is the night view of a super special street in Abuja.

Danube crescent is located off Ibrahim Babangida Way in Maitama Abuja.

If you look at it from outside, it doesn’t look any special but when you enter it especially during the day, you can’t but notice the number of policemen attached to many of the houses.

While some have two, others have as many as six. This is where some of those who really matter in Nigeria have their own homes. Not their guest houses, not their contact places but where they come around to relax, out of people’s prying eyes.

President Goodluck Jonathan is among those that have house in this exclusive area. 24 present and ex-Governors also have mansions there.

Two 2 ex-IGP as well as 3 Ex-Chief Justices in Abuja are also believed to have houses there.

The Speaker of the House of Representative, Aminu Tambuwal, his predecessor, Dimeji Bankole as well as many other top political office holders, past and present have homes in the same area.

Some of the mansions on Danube crescent have gigantic fences and one can hardly see anyone come in or out of the houses except the Mobile or regular policemen on duty.

The street looks very busy at night especially when there are political activities in Abuja.
