Emmanuel Emenike: "We Are Going To Teach Mexico A Lesson”
Super Eagles Lead striker Emmanuel Emenike has said that he and the boys are raring to go and show what they are made of against Mexico on Wednesday.
While both teams are looking forward to use the game to ascertain their preparation for the upcoming FIFA world cup scheduled in Brazil, the Fenerbache based player says the boys will show what they can do come game day.
He said:
“For every match, there is always need to give the best that is when good result will come. I am ready to give my best against Mexico, I believe that is the same with my teammates,”
“We will like to prove a bit of our readiness for Brazil 2014 against Mexico, to show just a bit of what people should expect at the World Cup, but it is not just about me but the entire team.”
Both countries have met thrice before now at full international level with Mexico winning once at the King Fahd Cup (now the FIFA Confederations Cup) in January 1995.
They won 5-4 through penalties after the game ended 1-1.
The other two meetings were friendly games and both ended in 2-2 draws, in October 2007 and May 2012
