Abandoned 3 Week Old Baby Girl Rescued In Ilesha, Osun State

Mother Abandons Baby Girl In Ilesa

After 9 full month of painful pregnancy, what could have forced a mother to abandon her baby?

Above is the exact question on everyone’s mind at a quiet street in Ilesa Osun State Nigeria.

On Wednesday, the residents of Oke Iro street in Ilesha found a baby girl wrapped in white shawl abandoned on the silent part of the street.

Good Samaritans took the baby to the Ministry of Women Affairs and social welfare.

An official report has been filed at the police station in the area as police official urged members of the public to provide useful information on the whereabouts of the baby’ parents.

Mrs Adetoun Adegboyega, Women Affairs and Social welfare commissioner called on parents to stop the habit of abandoning their babies.

“Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola administration is committed to protecting lives and property. The people of Osun can see the various developmental initiatives the government has taken.

We implore our people to support the progressive initiatives of the government,” she said.

This is sad!
